Easter Activities to Enjoy with the Family
Are you looking for Easter activities to enjoy with the family over the school holiday? Look no further, as here you can find excellent projects and activities designed to create memories and have fun with children of all ages this spring.
Foster Wales Torfaen therefore presents its favourite Easter activities for children and families in South Wales this April!
Go on an Easter egg hunt
This spring why not join an Easter egg hunt at one of Wales’s spectacular National Trust venues? Sites like Tredegar House in Newport or Dyffryn Gardens in the Vale of Glamorgan will inspire both kids and adults – as well as providing plenty of hiding places for brightly coloured Easter eggs.
Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. There are a number of events taking place between 11-18 April, from 10.30am to 4pm. The price of the trail is £3 per child and includes a trail map, pencil and a chocolate egg at the end. Normal entry fees apply.
Bake some Easter-themed treats together
After 40 days of Lent, Easter is often associated with indulging and enjoying a sweet treat. So, why not whip up some cakes or other treats in the kitchen?
For young children, Shredded Wheat nests are an excellent choice. They’re simple enough for everyone to get involved and they don’t require any baking. With just three ingredients, the items are easy to add to your shopping list. For the older ones, you could try baking a carrot cake or a chocolate dessert covered in Easter eggs.
Funtastic
Whatever the weather, there’s fun for everyone at Funtastic.
The perfect place to spend time as a family, Funtastic has a toddler area, an under 4’s area, soft play for 4 to 11 years, and a soccer area for the ones that like kicking a ball around.
But that’s not all, as there’s also a disco area if you’re in the mood for dancing!
So, if you haven’t visited yet, why not stop by with your young ones and join in the fun this Easter holiday?

Plan an Easter movie night
A cosy evening watching films can be the perfect way to enjoy time as a family. While you can put on any family favourite film, some options have an Easter twist.
Coming-of-age story Hop follows the Easter bunny’s son who would rather drum in a band than follow in his father’s footsteps.
Other great options include Peter Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo, and Rise of the Guardians. Or, for a slightly less traditional Easter film, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is an action-packed adventure as the titular character’s search for a mysterious creature.
